Hello happy bakers!

I just wanted to take a moment right now to say thank you to you. Thank you for taking time to stop by this site and spend some time with us. It means a lot to me. I think it’s nice to feel that simple connection with people. The world is so big and there are so many people in it. It can all seem so over whelming. It all moves at such a lighten speed. Years past by in the blink of an eye. I can’t even believe it’s the end of the year right now. Honestly, how did the year fly by so quick?

What I hope this site is, is a place to come and relax for a moment. A place to meet new people and find ways to share some time with the people you already know and love. I know I’ve said it before but I want this to be a place you can come to take a breath. A place you can come to and see you aren’t the only one going through something. A place you can come to, and find an order of instructions to make something great. Something you can really be proud of. I know it’s just baking to some but to some of us it’s taking a breathe.

Thank you for coming, for baking and taking the time to take a breathe with us. You are important, you are special and you are worthy. Always remember that my friends. Thank you again.

So let’s get into our Disney Eats Holiday Challenge recipe; Holiday Minnie Cake Pops. I really liked how these turned out. I know they aren’t perfect but I think they are adorable. Am I allowed to say that about something I made myself? Screw it I am.

These are very similar to the Mickey ones we made the other day. Ok, they are the same but they have a bow. Sometimes a girl needs a little bow to feel fancy I think.

Let’s get right to it today!

Ingredients:

  • Red candy bow or fondant bow
  • Chocolate cake mix and the ingredients to make it.
  • Brown Candy melts or dark chocolate to melt.
  • Red candy sprinkles
  • Green mini M&Ms
  • Candy Melts for ears
  • Red candy melt
  • Lollipop stick

Here’s how to make these beautiful ladies!

  1. Make the cake according to the cake box instructions. Bake the cake and let it cool completely.
  2. Place parchment paper over a baking sheet.
  3. In a large bowl, crumble the cake.
  4. Into the cake bowl, mix in 3/4 cake of icing. The more icing you add, the more “wet” the cake will feel when you bite into it.
  5. Make one inch balls with the cake mixture and place on the baking sheet. Freeze for on hour.
  6. In a small bowl or mug, melt the brown candy melt or dark chocolate chips. I know I’m always saying this, but remember to do it in small increments. Otherwise you will have a gross clump of a mess.

  7. Stick one end of a lollipop dunk in the melted chocolate and stick it into the top of a frozen cake ball. Dip two non-melted candy melts into the melted chocolate and place one on each side to represent the ears. Place the cake balls back into the freezer for 10 minutes.

  8. Dunk each cake ball completely into the melted chocolate. Remove from the chocolate and let the excess drip off. Place back into the freezer for 20 minutes or until set.
  9. In a small bowl, please the red grain sprinkles.
  10. In a small bowl or mug, melt the red candy melts.

  11. Dunk half the cake ball into the melted red candy melt. Immediately spoon red sprinkles over the red candy melt. Do not dunk or the cake pop will clump.
  12. Press the green M&Ms into the red part. This is will represent the spots. Use a little candy melt to attach the bow between the ears.

Happy Baking Everyone!
