Ingredients for Spiced Candied Walnuts:
- 12 Oz Walnut pieces
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Tsp Nutmeg
- ½ Tsp. Allspice
Instructions for Spiced Candied Walnuts:
- Preheat your oven to 350F.
- Place parchment on a sheet pan.
- In a large bowl, combine all the spices. Roll the nuts in the spices.
- In a saucepan, boil water and sugar until a rolling boil. Boil for 5 minutes once the rolling boil begins. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the simple syrup and the walnuts. Toss them well.
- Bake until golden brown. Let cool completely before adding the walnuts to the biscuits later.

Ingredients for Pumpkin Biscuits:
- 2 Cups Butter
- 3 ½ Cups Bread Flour
- 3 Cups Cake Flour
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- ½ Tsp Salt
- ¼ Cup Baking Powder
- 4 Cups Pumpkin Puree
- 1/3 Cup Molasses
- 12 Oz Chopped Spiced Candied Walnuts
Instructions for Pumpkin Biscuits:
- Preheat the oven to 375F.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and the butter. Mix until the mixture feels like cornmeal.
- Add the pumpkin puree and mix until it reaches the cornmeal texture again.
- Add the eggs one at a time. Mix well between each addition. Scrap the bowl down.
- Slowly add the buttermilk. Mix on slow so it doesn’t spill while mixing. Mix until fully mixed. The mixture will still be loose.
- Mix in the spiced candied walnuts.
- On a clean floured surface, roll out the dough to ½ inch thick.
- Use a cutter or knife to cut the shapes. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Egg wash the top of each biscuit. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake until golden brown.
