Ingredients:
• ½ cup butter
• ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 1 cup light corn syrup
• 3 eggs, slightly beaten
• 1 cup pecan
• 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
• Sweetened whipped cream
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt.
3. Add the syrup and mix well.
4. Add the eggs and mix well.
5. Fold in the pecans.
6. Pour the mixture into the pie shell.
7. Bake for 10 minutes.
8. Reduce the heat to 325F and bake for 35 to 40. The pie is done when the center is set. Set aside to cool.
9. Top with whipped cream
Note: For a darker looking pie, use dark corn syrup. If you want the pie less rich, use ¼ cup of butter.
