Serves: 4 to 6
Ingredients:

4 large eggs
-
½ cup milk
-
¾ cup plus 2 tablespoon sugar, divided

2 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided

½ teaspoons vanilla extract

¼ cup vegetable oil
-
12 (1-inch thick) bread slices

Warm maple or fruit syrup, for serving

Fresh fruit, for serving
Instructions:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, ½ teaspoons cinnamon, and the vanilla.

In a small bowl, combine the ¾ cup sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon. Mix together and spread on a plate.

In a 12-inch skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over the medium heat. Dip the bread slice in the egg mixture and then place it in the skillet. Fry both sides until they are both golden brown.

Remove from the skillet and immediately place in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Shake to remove the excess sugar and cinnamon.

Serve with warm maple syrup, fruit syrup or fresh fruit.
