Ingredients:

2 cups coarsely grated cheddar cheese

1 1/2 cups water
-
1/2 cup milk
-
5 cups bread flour
-
1/4 cup sugar
-
2 tbsps. butter (melted and cooled)

2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast

1 tbsp salt
Ingredients:

Place the grated cheese in a ziplock bag and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Lightly grease two 8 1/2-inch by 4 1/2-inch loaf pans.

In a 2-quart saucepan, combine the water and milk over medium-low heat.

In an electric mixer with a dough hook, combine the milk mixture, flour, sugar, butter, sugar, butter, yeast, and salt. Beat the mixture on medium-high speed for 5 minutes. The dough will pull away from the side of the bowl.

Add the 1 1/2 cups of the cheese and mix. Mix until the cheese is covered.

On a lightly floured clean surface, knead the dough slightly. Separate the dough into two sections. Shape into two loaves.

Place in the loaf pans, and sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese. Cover and place in a warm place to rise. Leave for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

Bake for 25 minutes. It will become golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack before cutting.
