Ingredients:
-
2 1/2 cups flour
-
1 tsp baking soda
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
10 tbsp softened butter
-
1 cup packed brown sugar
-
3/4 cup powdered sugar
-
2 eggs
-
2 tsp vanilla extract
-
12-ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
These cookies are super easy to make and don’t take much time at all. This would be a fantastic one to make with the kids.
-
Preheat your oven to 330F.
-
In a medium-size bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt together. Stir until well combined.
-
In a stand mixer or using an electric mixer, cream together the butter, brown sugar and powdered sugar. The mixture will become light and fluffy. Next, add one egg and mix well. Add the remaining egg and mix until everything is combined.
-
To the butter mixture, add half the flour mixture and mix well. Scrap down all the sides and add the remaining flour. Mix well. This part you can do with the electric mixer to ensure everything is well blended.
-
Using a wooden spoon/ spatula, stir in the chocolate chips. You never want to do this with a mixer. It will break apart the chips.
-
On a baking pan, scoop 1 tbsp size dough balls and place them 2 inches apart on the pan. Do not press down on them. They will flatten while baking.
-
Bake for 10 minutes. The cookies will become light brown and that’s how you know they are done.
