Yield: 3 1-pound loaves
Ingredients:

4 ounces molasses

2 cups milk
-
1 egg
-
1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup rye flour
-
1 cup whole wheat flour

3/4 cup cornmeal
-
2 tsp salt
-
1/2 cup milk

1 tbsp baking powder
Instructions:

Spray the inside of three canning jars (with lids) with non-stick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, mix together the molasses, 2 cups milk, and eggs. Use an electric mixer on medium speed.

In a medium bowl, sift together the flours, cornmeal, and salt. Add to the molasses bowl and mix well.

In a small bowl, dissolve the baking powder and the half a cup of milk. After dissolved, add to the flour mixture. Mix until fully combined.

Divide the batter between the three jars. Seal with the lids.

In a large pot, boil water. Place the three jars in the boiling water standing up. Place the lid on the large pot. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour 45 minutes. Make sure the water does not run dry.

Remove from pot and cool for 2 hours before serving.
