Yield: 2 Cups
Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter

1/4 cup flour
-
3 cups half-and-half

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 cup sugar

Pinch of salt
Instructions:

In a saucepan, melt the butter.

On low heat, add the flour to the butter mixture. Make sure it does not brown. Remove from the heat and let it cool on the side.

In another saucepan, boil the half-and-half and sugar.

Combine both mixtures. Stir until the mixture is thick. Reduce the heat and cook for 5 minutes. You have to keep stirring.

Stir in the vanilla.

Using a sieve, strain through it.
