Dark Chocolate Frosting

Yield: 2 Cups


  • ¾ cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • 1/8 tsp. fine sea salt

  • 2 ½ cups confectioners’ sugar

  • ¼ tsp. pure vanilla extract

  • 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate (melted and cooled)

  • 2 tbsps whole milk


  1. In an electric mixer with a paddle attachment, cream together the butter and salt together. Beat until light and fluffy.

  2. On a slow speed, slowly add the sugar and mix well.

  3. On a medium speed, add the vanilla and melted chocolate until it’s mixed well.

Add 1 tbsp. of whole milk if you would like the frosting to be thinner.
