Cookie Dough Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup lightly packed light brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon whole milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, slightly softened

  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

  • 1 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan over low medium, melt the brown sugar and milk. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

  2. Stir in the vanilla.

  3. In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat together the butter, brown sugar mixture, and salt. The mixture will become light and fluffy.

  4. On a low speed, slowly add the confectioners’ sugar. Beat until combined.
