Hello beautiful people!

I know this is where I’m supposed to talk about our top posts from last year… it is any of the Banana Breads incase you were wondering… holy cow you guys love it. People sure do love Banana Bread.

I thought instead of looking back, we could look forward. Ok I know that’s not very original either, it is the new year after all.

Hi Beautiful Bakers!

I have to admit I made these cookies as a late night snack. I didn’t really think much about them. It was just one of those situations where I looked for a recipe I had all the ingredients for. I later heard three separate people say they were the best cookies they have ever had. They also requested when we make chocolate chip cookies in the future, we make these ones.

Hi Beautiful Bakers!

The Ariel character meet and greet in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is one of the best. Located in Fantasyland, she has her own permanent home. When you walk in you really feel like you are part of her world.

The Gray Stuff

When my Prince Charming and I were on our Honeymoon in Walt Disney World, Be Our Guest Restaurant had recently opened and you better believe it was the first ADR we booked! And for the 179 days after that, all I could think about was finally trying the Gray Stuff.

While not all Disney Fans agree on whether or not the version at Be Our Guest lives up to the hype, I love it and it will always remind me of our honeymoon. So I thought it would be fitting to whip some up for our 4th anniversary.

Peanut Butter-Banana-Applewood Smoked Candied Bacon Pie

Hi beautiful bakers,

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate this pie being in our lives? How did we ever eat pie before this?

When I saw this recipe on Disney Family I couldn’t wait to try it. I felt I had no choice but to make it. It had to be done. Not like the dishes, vacuuming, or laundry… this was important.

It’s also happened to be from one of my favorite bakeries on Walt Disney World property; Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas’ BoardWalk Bakery. It has some incredible desserts so I knew it would be good. Plus its pie with bacon on it. Bacon on a pie.

Black Forest Cake

Hey happy bakers!

If you surveyed everyone walking out of Epcot and asked them to name three food items in the park, I can almost guarantee the majority will mention Germany’s Black Forest Cake. Why is it so amazing? I don’t know. I’m not sure if it’s amazing because it’s the best Black Forest cake out there or if it’s delicious because it’s an iconic Disney snack.

Happy Day Bakers!

Every November like 100,000 other people out there, I write a novel. It’s called the National Novel Writing Month and the goal is to write a book in the month of November. To be considered a “winner” you need to have written at least 50,000 words. That might not sound too bad but try to write 1667 words a day and see how you do. There is no real prize to all this but the sense of accomplishment. Wish me luck people for this year people!
